About the role
As a Full Time Health Care Specialist at Skyline Center, Inc. in Clinton, IA, you'll guide individuals towards better health and well-being by coordinating medical appointments, arranging transportation, and serving as a liaison between doctors, individuals, and staff. Your role ensures that individuals receive the care they deserve, with meticulous attention to detail in maintaining medication lists and tracking appointments. This dynamic and fulfilling position offers a flexible schedule to accommodate the diverse needs of the individuals we serve.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule medical appointments for individuals.
- Arrange transportation for appointments, ensuring safe and reliable travel.
- Serve as a liaison between doctors, individuals, and staff to facilitate communication and care.
- Maintain accurate medication lists and track appointments to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Provide support and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License and access to an insured, privately owned vehicle for transportation needs.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Two years of Direct Care experience (preferred).
