About the role

Serve as a first responder providing emergency medical care to civilians after disasters and to Soldiers in various settings. Support medical readiness by managing supplies, equipment, and treatment protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Administer emergency and ongoing medical treatment to casualties and Soldiers
  • Assist with outpatient and inpatient care
  • Train Soldiers in Combat Lifesaver/First Responder techniques
  • Maintain medical readiness, supplies, and equipment

Training & Skills

  • Gain expertise in patient care, advanced medical procedures, and plaster casting
  • Develop effective communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under stress
  • Certification from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT level or higher) is required

Training combines classroom and field practice, enabling potential civilian careers in hospitals, clinics, or emergency services. Skills learned include patient care, emergency response, and medical assistance.
