Health Benefits Specialist (Customer Service) – Murray, UT

About the role

The Health Benefit Specialist (HBS) role at Select Health has the critical accountability to provide superior service directly to members, customers, and providers. The role also assists new caregivers in developing essential job skills and obtaining industry knowledge through a six-week HBS Basic Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Deliver superior customer service via phone, email, and chat
• Help members understand their benefits and resolve claims issues
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely resolutions
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold Select Health’s service commitments

Requirements

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Active listening and time management
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, typing proficiency)

Qualifications

• Preferred: Call center experience and bilingual (English/Spanish)

Pay

$21.12 - $21.12 per hour

Schedule

• Start Date: September 14th, 2026
• Training Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (In-Office in Murray, UT)
• Post-Training Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.; Saturday, 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
• No time off during the first 60 days due to training requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Interact with others requiring the employee to communicate information
• Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands
• See and read computer monitors and documents
• Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment
