About the role

The Health and Wellness Director oversees the clinical supervision and administration of all nursing services. Key responsibilities include implementing and maintaining nursing objectives, standards, policies, and procedures; providing clinical guidance to nursing staff; collaborating with community administrators; conducting regular assessments of residents; ensuring compliance with state, federal, and Americare regulations; managing medication systems; and playing a key role in quality assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of clinical supervision and administration of nursing services
  • Implementation and maintenance of nursing objectives, standards, policies, and procedures
  • Providing clinical guidance to nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other care team members
  • Collaboration with community administrators to ensure staff receive necessary orientation and training
  • Conducting regular assessments of residents and ensuring all required documentation is up-to-date
  • Ensuring compliance with state, federal, and Americare regulations
  • Managing medication systems and ensuring they meet regulatory guidelines and resident needs
  • Playing a key role in quality assurance by maintaining community standards, assisting with inspections, and upholding a safe, home-like environment for residents

Requirements

  • Licensure: A current state nursing license (LPN)
  • Experience: Proven track record in nursing leadership, preferably in senior living or long-term care environments
  • Skills: Strong clinical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to manage both the administrative and hands-on aspects of nursing care
  • Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work closely with staff, administrators, and families
  • Commitment: Passion for senior care, adherence to Americare’s mission, and dedication to providing a high quality of life for residents

Qualifications

  • Physical Demands: Stand, sit, walk, bend, and change positions frequently; lift up to 25 lbs.; push/pull up to 100 lbs.; maneuver wheelchairs (up to 350 lbs.); assist in lowering residents to the floor during falls; use safety equipment, including gait belts and mechanical lifts; perform tasks requiring good vision, hearing, and verbal communication

Pay

Total Compensation: $52,000–$65,600

Additional Bonus Potential: $7,500
