Health and Safety Manager
Location: Onsite in Lithonia, GA | Compensation range: $88,000 - $131,000

Griffith Foods is hiring a Health & Safety Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory, company, and food industry standards while partnering with cross-functional teams to promote safety, reduce risk, and drive continuous improvement to protect people, products, and operations. Responsibilities
- Lead daily HSE (Health, Safety & Environmental) programs, including workplace safety, risk assessment, incident management, regulatory compliance, and environmental management systems.
- Drive employee, contractor, and visitor safety through training, engagement, Safety Committee facilitation, and a proactive safety culture.
- Track, report, and improve HSE and sustainability performance, including data quality control, GPS activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with Engineering on capital projects and management of change to ensure HSE requirements are integrated into project planning and execution.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance oversight for one direct report.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s of Science OR 8 years of equivalent experience.
- 5 years of Health and Safety experience in a manufacturing environment (in addition to degree or 8 years of degree equivalent experience).
- Willingness to work onsite in Lithonia, GA 5 days per week.
- Candidates must currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

What will set you apart
- 5 years Environmental Safety experience (wastewater treatment, SPCC, SWPPP) strongly preferred.
- A Professional certification such as CSP, CHMM, PE, or CIH (or global equivalent).
- Master's of Science.
Schedule
This role is affiliated with the Lithonia, GA location. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance and will be required to work onsite 5 days per week. Periodic travel to other locations for meetings may be required.
