About the role
The Occupational Health and Safety Business Partner will take charge of a service portfolio and play a vital role in Bayside Health's Safety & Wellbeing Team. The position is crucial in fostering a positive safety culture across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a service portfolio within the Safety & Wellbeing Team
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation
- Provide guidance and support to managers and staff on health and safety matters
- Facilitate training and development programs to enhance safety awareness
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of safety records and metrics
- Support investigations and incident reporting processes
Requirements
- A Cert IV/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
- Proven experience in Health and Safety
- Working knowledge of Victorian Health and Safety legislation
- At least 2-3 years in a similar fast-paced role
- Strong coaching abilities, stakeholder management, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Office 365 and incident reporting software (Riskman)
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and understanding of safety KPIs
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence and ability to travel between Alfred Health worksites as required
Qualifications
- Desirable: Experience in Workplace Training and/or a Cert IV in Training and Assessment
- ICAM trained
