About the role
This position sits in our Corporate Services division and will support projects across the Northcentral region of Wisconsin. You will partner with stakeholders at all levels in the region, including customers, to provide outstanding safety support, including jobsite inspections, leading training and assurance efforts, developing and maintaining work policies, standards, and procedures, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders at all levels in the region, including customers, to provide outstanding safety support.
- Lead jobsite inspections.
- Lead training and assurance efforts.
- Develop and maintain work policies, standards, and procedures.
- Ensure regulatory compliance.
- Identify areas for improvement to contribute to Ahern’s continuous improvement journey.
- Travel to different Wisconsin job sites with a company vehicle on a regular basis with occasional overnight travel.
Requirements
Ahern will help make the most of your Bachelor's degree in an Occupational Safety program or related field. Five-plus years of work experience in the construction safety field is also preferred. Ideal candidates will possess one or more of the following: CSP/ASP/GSP, CHST, STS-C, or be an OSHA Outreach Instructor. You should demonstrate the ability to thrive in a proactive, fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service, possessing strong written and verbal communication skills, and being able to execute tasks with a great amount of detail will be crucial. You will need to possess the ability to lead the safety culture within our worksite locations. Candidates must be a proactive problem solver and be able to assess risk prior to incidents occurring.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an Occupational Safety program or related field. Five-plus years of work experience in the construction safety field. One or more of the following certifications: CSP/ASP/GSP, CHST, STS-C, or OSHA Outreach Instructor. Ability to thrive in a proactive, fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to lead the safety culture within our worksite locations. Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to assess risk.

Pay
Salary range: $60,000 - $75,000 annually
Schedule
Hybrid schedule with some travel required.
