Headache Medicine Specialist - Premier Physician Network
Position Summary/Basic Function
This position is a Premier Physician Network position. Wright State University and Premier Physician Network have entered into an enhanced affiliation agreement that will transform health care delivery in the Miami Valley and beyond. As part of this transformative collaboration, Wright State's Boonshoft School of Medicine and Premier Health are seeking physicians with a demonstrated ability to enhance and elevate academic health organizations in their mission of clinical care, research, and education.
Minimum Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible in primary specialty.
- Fellowship trained in Headache Medicine.
- UCNS certification in Headache Medicine.
- Demonstrated interest and experience in academic medicine, including teaching and research.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Outstanding strategic communication and diplomacy skills are critical as Wright State and Premier Physician Network continue to transform the health of the region in new and innovative ways.
Essential Functions and percent of time
- Provide comprehensive care for patients with headache and facial pain disorders in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Utilize procedural skills, including OnabotulinumtoxinA injections, peripheral nerve blocks, and trigger point injections.
- Actively participate in the teaching and mentorship of fellows, residents, and medical students.
- Deliver lectures and contribute to the academic development of the Headache Medicine Fellowship program.
- Engage in clinical research initiatives aimed at advancing the understanding and treatment of headache disorders.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement research projects, with opportunities to present and publish findings.
