Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Two or more years of demonstrated, successful experience working in intercollegiate athletics and/or related areas.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience as a student-athlete or coach of the sport.
  • Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations, including compliance.
  • A demonstrated commitment to the NCAA Division III philosophy regarding the student-athlete experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements a recruiting plan to achieve and maintain a roster size adequate for sponsorship of women's and men's indoor and outdoor track and field teams in accordance with the College's enrollment growth strategies.
  • Develops and implements a daily practice plan to ensure proper preparation for intercollegiate competition.
  • In conjunction with the Director of Athletics, works with local facilities and/or municipalities to coordinate practice and/or competition.
  • Promotes the visions and values of Albertus Magnus College by emphasizing the experience and education of each student-athlete as the most important component of intercollegiate athletic participation.
  • Supervises assistant coaches and provides feedback for continued growth and development.
  • Provides a year-round strength and conditioning program tailored towards the individual sports.
  • Represents their programs during coaches' meetings.
  • Captures fundraising activities to benefit the student-athlete experience for the women's and men's track and field programs.
