Key Results and Responsibilities
- Ensure integration of Women’s Basketball program activities to College mission and culture to include the Benedictine Values of Community, Respect, Love of Learning, Hospitality and Stewardship
- Recruit a wide diversity of prospective student athletes in order to reach the team's target roster size
- Retain and graduate student-athletes at a rate higher than the overall college rates in order to generate positive net revenue for the college
- Create a positive image of the college in the minds of the community, alumni and other prospective students
- Coach in a manner that results in successful performance
- Administer all aspects of the basketball program including budget, team travel, scheduling and documentation to ensure the smooth operation of the team and efficient use of the college’s resources
- Ensure compliance with NCAA, MIAC and internal policies and procedures
- Facilitate Team Community Service
- Manage multiple projects under pressure with composure and flexibility
Required Qualifications
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree and five to seven years basketball coaching and recruiting experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Competencies: Knowledge of rules, techniques and culture of basketball and NCAA regulations and guidelines related to recruitment and retention of collegiate athletes; Skill in planning, organizing and implementing athletic programs and activities; Ability to fundraise, build and maintain relationships with parents, alumni and external partners; Strong leadership skills; Ability to adapt to changing circumstances; Knowledge of budget and financial record-keeping practices; Ability to communicate and interact effectively with diverse student populations; Contribute to an inclusive workplace; Establish and maintain effective relationships with team members, co-workers, students, alumni, and community.

- Colege coaching experience
- Managerial experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Mobility to work in a typical athletic and office setting
- Ability to communicate effectively with current and potential student-athletes
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in conditions that include extreme temperatures
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision
- Must be able to travel for long periods of time

Pay
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is full-time, 40 hours per week.
