Assistant Coach Women's Basketball

Major Areas of Responsibility

• Provide individual and team instruction to student-athletes on: rules & fundamentals, skill attainment, techniques and methods, and team concepts.
• Provide individualized coaching/tutoring/mentoring to student-athletes, including preparatory work such as assessing skill attainment, reviewing video, and developing instruction.
• Prepare the team for competition and practice.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Prior experience instructing and coaching, preferably at the Division I level.
• Strong knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Computer and video editing skills are encouraged.

Salary Range

The salary range for this full time, exempt level position is $70,000 - $75,000.

Job Description

Assist Head Coach with all facets of the basketball program, primarily by: instructing student-athletes on skills and techniques, educating on rules and NCAA requirements, assessing comprehension of skills, techniques and rules, and providing additional instruction as appropriate, and preparing team for competition and practice.

Assistant coach must perform duties in compliance with all College, Patriot League, and NCAA rules and regulations.
