About the role

An ideal coaching candidate for JUHSD and its respective school possesses expertise in the rules, strategies, techniques, sports equipment, physical fitness and safety of their respective sport. They are able to motivate student athletes to maximize their athletic talent and help prepare them for competition.

Responsibilities

• Complete administrative tasks such as scheduling athletic events and practices, transportation, maintaining supplies and equipment, and assisting in the maintenance of school facilities
• Assist student athletes in maintaining and meeting eligibility requirements to participate in high school athletic events
• Work in conjunction with the Athletic Director and site administration to enforce all school rules and policies

Qualifications

• Good communication and supervisory skills
• Ability to make decisions under pressure
