Summary Of Role

The Head Teacher is responsible for teaching, guiding, and supervising children aged 6 weeks to 5 years using a trauma-informed approach, adhering to NAEYC, Keystone STARS, and DHS guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Planning and implementing lessons based on the Creative Curriculum and PA Early Learning Standards
• Creating a safe and positive learning environment
• Collaborating with parents and an assistant teacher to prepare children for educational success
• Conducting fair assessments and developing lesson plans that address all developmental domains

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field with relevant coursework and experience working with children
• Ability to create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Commitment to trauma-informed practices and best early childhood education standards
