Head Start Teacher Assistant/Bus Driver

About the role

The Head Start Teacher Assistant/Bus Driver position at North Elementary is responsible for assisting teachers in classroom activities and providing transportation services to children enrolled in the program.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with daily classroom activities and lesson plans
• Provide supervision and support to children during class time and breaks
• Ensure children's safety and well-being during bus rides and while at school
• Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting preferred

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Pass background check and child abuse clearance

Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
