About the Role
This position serves as a Head Start Site Director for clustered Y Head Start centers, as well as Y Head Start sites located in Public Schools. The Head Start Site Director provides direct supervision to Head Start Teachers, Assistant Head Start Teachers, Resource Aides, Food Service Personnel, Drivers, and Substitute teachers. The role is primarily responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operations, including OCC/Child Care Licensing compliance and Head Start Program Performance Standards. The Head Start Site Director collaborates with other Y team members to ensure high-quality integrated comprehensive services are implemented consistently.

Requirements
- Must obtain a criminal background check
- Valid driver’s license
- All Y associates agree to abide by The Code of Conduct with Youth, which includes:

- Prohibiting abuse, bullying, or harassment
- Mandating reporting of suspected mistreatment

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child & Family Studies, Child Development, Human Development, Human Services, or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in an early learning center (preferred)
- Knowledge of OCC regulations and Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS) (preferred)
- Experience managing multi-center locations
- Familiarity with ECERS and ITERS (preferred)
- Proficiency in computer applications
Certifications
- CPR and First Aid (must earn and maintain)
- CLASS Reliability
- 45-Hour Director’s Certification
- 90-Hour Certification (if degree is in a related field)
