About the role

Kansas Children’s Service League is hiring a full-time Head Start Paraprofessional in Liberal, KS. This position offers a competitive wage of $14 per hour and operates on a Monday-Friday schedule with occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a welcoming, nurturing, and trauma-informed experience for students
  • Ensure regulations and policies are followed
  • Support the teaching team with all aspects of classroom and child supervision and care
  • Ensure child health, development, and safety
  • Ensure program rules, applicable laws, and agency policies and protocols are followed

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preschool Child Development Associate (CDA) certification from the Council for Professional Recognition, preferred
  • Demonstrated awareness of the challenges and strengths of children and families living with lower incomes and/or special needs
  • Bilingual - English and Spanish (preferred)
