About the Role
The Lead Teacher plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the preschool, focusing on the holistic development of young children from birth to three years old. They are responsible for creating engaging learning environments, implementing educational lesson plans, and ensuring compliance with Head Start program requirements.
Responsibilities
- Create fun, interactive learning experiences for children in the classroom.
- Mentor and guide other teachers in the classroom.
- Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the preschool children in your class.
- Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation.
- Be an expert on all licensing guidelines, company standards, and Head Start program requirements.
- Build sincere relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote achievement for the child and support the center's success.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or CDA in Infant/Toddler.
- Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
- The ability to meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements.
- The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
Qualifications
- Energetic, dependable, and passionate about early childhood education.
- At least 18 years of age.
