What You'll Do As a Classroom Aide, you will work alongside teachers and other Head Start staff to support daily classroom activities and ensure children remain safe, engaged, and cared for throughout the day. Responsibilities include: Assisting with educational activities and classroom routinesSupporting child safety at all times, both inside and outside the classroomEncouraging positive behavior and social interactionsAssisting with activities such as handwashing, toothbrushing, toileting, and meal timesHelping prepare learning materials and classroom resourcesBuilding positive relationships with children, families, staff, and volunteersParticipating in meetings, trainings, and educational field tripsCompleting required documentation accurately and on time This specialized position includes placement in various program locations based on program need as determined by the Preschool Manager. (Summers off!) :::::: Requirements Required Qualifications High school diploma or GEDAbility to work effectively with young childrenAbility to follow directions, maintain confidentiality, and work as part of a teamBasic technology skills, including email and online trainings Preferred Qualifications Bilingual English-Spanish skills are a plus Physical Requirements This position is active and involves engaging directly with children throughout the day.
