About the role
This is a unique opportunity to build and scale one of Hilo’s most important markets from the ground up. As Head of US Market, you will own the US commercial strategy and act as Hilo’s internal champion for the US customer, ensuring the entire organization prioritizes and executes with the US market in mind. You’ll serve as the primary on-the-ground representative of Hilo in the US, steering strategy and coordinating with our centralized execution team to deliver best-in-class, locally relevant outcomes. This role offers outsized personal growth and impact—on the business and the lives of millions of Americans living with high blood pressure.
Location: US-based (preferably East Coast), must be authorized to work in the United States. The role requires minimum half-day overlap with our European-based team (CET) and quarterly travel to team and business events.
Responsibilities
- Shape and drive the US commercial strategy with local market insight, executing on the ground.
- Own B2C execution across core US channels, including paid media, PR, KOLs/influencers, affiliates, newsletters, social media, and Amazon.
- Own the end-to-end US customer experience, partnering with Product, App, Website, Operations, and Customer Support to remove friction and improve conversion, retention, and satisfaction.
- Carry significant budget responsibility for the US market and be accountable for its commercial performance.
- Serve as Hilo’s brand ambassador in the US, representing the company at industry events, press engagements, and partner conversations.
- Support B2B and partnership efforts as a local spearhead for clinics, hypertension specialists, and payer/employer partners.
Requirements
- Experience growing a business with meaningful budget responsibility—entrepreneurial, ambitious, and self-driven.
- Track record from a top-tier company or team, with experience scaling products through high-growth stages.
- Hands-on commercial judgment across awareness, distribution, pricing, CAC, and retention—you’ve built the playbook, not just followed one.
- Strong execution mindset: you write briefs, edit press releases, manage agency reviews, and present performance metrics to leadership.
- Data-driven decision-making, with the ability to surface challenges early and communicate transparently.
- Strong executive communication skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and representing the business in high-impact settings.
