Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall social media strategy across DCP’s awards shows, music events, and entertainment properties
  • Develop show-specific strategies based on audience insights, talent, programming, cultural moments, and business goals
  • Establish platform strategies, content pillars, publishing calendars, and audience-growth plans across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, X, Snapchat, and emerging platforms
  • Identify new formats, creator partnerships, platform opportunities, and social-first concepts that expand reach and engagement
  • Integrate social strategy into broader marketing, publicity, talent, production, and content distribution plans
  • Oversee social planning and execution from show announcement through post-show coverage, including red carpets, rehearsals, winners’ walk, backstage, and live broadcasts
  • Partner with DCP Studios, Production, Marketing, Publicity, and Talent Relations to define social priorities inclusive of content needs, approvals, and workflows
  • Direct real-time social coverage during live broadcasts, including rapid-turn video, performance clips, winner moments, backstage content, and other in-show content
  • Establish repeatable show playbooks, approval processes, and post-event reviews to improve future execution
  • Manage the roster of social agencies supporting DCP’s tentpole shows
  • Source, evaluate, brief, and oversee agencies based on each show’s audience, scale, budget, and creative requirements
  • Review and approve agency strategies, content plans, staffing, coverage schedules, and performance reports
  • Hold agencies accountable for quality, timelines, budgets, brand standards, execution and results
  • Engage and oversee specialized vendors for content capture, editing, photography, video production, creator activity, and social publishing
  • Serve as the primary social media partner to the Sales and Creative Strategy & Activation teams
  • Translate brand partnerships objectives into social content and amplification plans
  • Review proposed social plans to ensure deliverables are strategically sound, platform-appropriate, achievable, and aligned with DCP standards
  • Oversee execution of sponsored social campaigns, including creative development, content management, paid amplification, approvals, and reporting
  • Partner with internal teams to define deliverables, timelines, budgets, and performance expectations
  • Provide campaign reporting and post-campaign analysis to internal stakeholders and clients
  • Define KPIs and performance benchmarks for each show and campaign
  • Oversee reporting across audience growth, engagement, video views, impressions, clicks, paid media, and other relevant metrics
  • Translate performance data into recommendations for leadership, agencies, and show teams
  • Maintain relationships with Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, X, and other emerging platforms
  • Pursue platform support, co-marketing opportunities, editorial placement, beta access, and other strategic opportunities that DCP shows can leverage and benefit from
  • Monitor platform changes, algorithm trends, audience behavior, and emerging technologies to inform future strategies

Requirements

  • At least 10+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, audience development, and/or content strategy
  • Significant experience leading social strategy for live entertainment moments including events, awards shows, music, sports, or other real-time cultural properties
  • Proven success growing audiences and delivering measurable engagement, video, traffic, and revenue results
  • Demonstrated experience managing social agencies, production vendors, and complex multi-platform campaigns
  • Experience supporting sponsored social, branded content, paid amplification, and client-facing deliverables
  • Strong knowledge of major social platforms, publishing practices, paid media, analytics, and content formats
  • Experience with live-event content capture, real-time publishing, rapid-turn video, and social approvals
  • Strong executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and travel as required by live-event production schedules

Schedule

Employees work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely with a focus on maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture.

Pay

Typical wage range: $155,000 - $170,000 plus bonus. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role.
