THE POSITION
FanDuel is seeking a Head of Social Media to lead our social strategy, content, and platform presence across all channels. This role will sit within the Marketing organization and oversee a best-in-class content engine, define performance KPIs, and partner with various teams to drive social engagement and business impact.
THE GAME PLAN
- Manage and develop a team of social media experts, channel owners, and content producers.
- Establish a clear, distinctive voice that stands out in sports and internet culture.
- Act as a liaison and drive support across all channel and go-to-market leadership teams.
- Define and own a clear set of KPIs to measure growth, engagement, and business impact across social platforms.
- Lead an always-on content operation spanning real-time moments, tentpoles, and original programming.
- Drive customers to advocacy through engagement, particularly in community-based channels like Discord.
- Partner with the Customer Service center of excellence to evolve ways of working and optimize back-end tech stacks.
- Push the boundaries of format, including short-form video, live content, and creator-led content.
- Define success through both cultural relevance and business performance, fostering a culture of speed, accountability, and experimentation.
- Ensure social amplifies key priorities across multiple business units and brands.
THE STATS
- 12+ years of experience in social media, digital content, or growth marketing.
- Proven track record building and leading high-performing social or content teams.
- Deep understanding of sports, fandom, and real-time content dynamics.
- Strong creative instincts paired with a data-driven mindset.
- Experience working cross-functionally to drive measurable business outcomes.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
