Head of School

About the Role

As Head of School at Fusion Academy, you’ll lead a fully accredited 1-to-1 private school for grades 5–12 (note: not all campuses serve grades 4 and 5; specific details will be shared during the interview process). You’ll build and inspire a campus team, drive enrollment, ensure operational and fiscal health, and foster a dynamic, supportive school culture where learning is truly customized for every student.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead your campus team with vision, innovation, and a culture of heart and collaboration.
• Inspire and develop staff through clear expectations, coaching, and professional growth.
• Drive enrollment through community connections, partnerships, and events.
• Ensure operational and fiscal health, balancing high-quality programming with smart management.
• Build strong relationships with students, families, and staff to create a thriving school community.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or higher preferred.
• 3–5 years of school leader experience, ideally at the middle or high school level.
• Experience managing a budget, financial reporting, and tracking performance metrics.
• Proven ability to build culture and lead diverse teams.
• Experience with enrollment growth, admissions, and business development.
• Passion for alternative education and supporting diverse learners.
• Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Florida residents require Level 2 background screening (details here).

Heads of School are also eligible for performance bonuses tied to KPI achievement.

Pay

USD $105,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year.
