About the role

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a clear and compelling strategic vision for the school that aligns with its mission and values.
- Lead the school's academic program, ensuring it remains innovative and responsive to the needs of students and the changing educational landscape.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with faculty, staff, students, parents, and the broader community to foster a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Oversee the financial health of the school, including budgeting, fundraising, and resource allocation.
- Ensure the school's compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the school externally, engaging with potential donors, partners, and stakeholders.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in education, preferably in leadership positions at independent schools.
- A proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategic plans.
- Experience in managing budgets and fundraising efforts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate faculty and staff to achieve high standards.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree is required, along with a master's degree in education or a related field.
- Experience in a leadership role within an educational institution.
- Knowledge of best practices in education and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Pay
The annual salary and benefits are competitive and consistent with the market for similar roles in the area. The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $550,000 to $625,000.
Schedule
The Head of School will work a standard school year schedule, typically 10 months per year, with summers off.
