Head of People
About the role
We are seeking a Head of People to join our rapidly growing team. This role will play a critical part in shaping our organizational strategy, attracting top talent, and fostering an exceptional employee experience.
Responsibilities
Partner with founders and leadership to develop and execute a people strategy that supports Exa's mission, values, and business objectives.
Lead and scale the People function across recruiting, onboarding, compensation, benefits, employee experience, performance management, and talent development.
Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and talent strategy.
Build and continuously improve people systems, policies, and programs that enable employees to do their best work.
Create and implement compensation and rewards philosophies that support attracting and retaining exceptional talent.
Build and implement leadership development, performance management, and career growth programs.
Lead employee engagement initiatives and strengthen Exa's culture as the organization scales.
Coach managers and leaders on performance, employee relations, team effectiveness, and organizational challenges.
Oversee employee relations matters and ensure thoughtful, consistent resolution of workplace issues.
Manage immigration programs, including visa sponsorship and related processes.
Drive data-informed decision-making through people analytics, reporting, and workforce insights.
Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing People team.
Requirements
10+ years of progressive experience across People, Talent, or Human Resources functions.
Experience leading People teams within a high-growth technology company; startup experience required.
Strong understanding of recruiting, compensation, benefits, talent management, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
Proven ability to influence and advise executive leadership.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform People decisions.
Qualifications
Deep knowledge of U.S., European, and Singapore employment law and HR compliance.
Experience supporting international employees and immigration programs.
Skills
Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of human resources and organizational development.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing circumstances.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Benefits
Exa offers a competitive compensation range of $200K - $300K, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

$200K - $300K
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.
