Talent & Hiring
Lead the full US hiring process — sourcing, pipeline, interviewing logistics, offers, and onboarding — across commercial and technical roles.
Build a repeatable, high-quality recruiting engine and manage relationships with external recruiting/HR vendors (e.g. Deel, Beisen)
Shape team structure, foster cross-functional collaboration, and help build the culture of a young US organization
Finance & Administration
Manage core financial processes: budgeting, expense management, payroll coordination, vendor payments, and invoicing
Partner with global finance on intercompany flows, reporting, and compliance across our international entities
Own US business operations: contracts, vendor coordination, insurance, and office/administrative infrastructure
Legal & Compliance
Own the US legal function operationally — engage and manage relationships with outside counsel and local law firms, and serve as the internal point of contact for legal matters
Apply working knowledge of California employment and business law to day-to-day operations, hiring, and contracts, escalating to counsel where appropriate
Oversee contracts, entity and compliance filings, and risk management in partnership with finance and leadership
China–US Bridge
Serve as the primary operational link between US leadership and China HQ — translating priorities, norms, and processes in both directions
Navigate timezone, language, and cultural differences to keep the two sides aligned and moving
Represent US operational needs to China and localize China's processes for the US context
