About the role

Alcatraz is looking for a Head of Growth Marketing to own the full demand-to-revenue engine. This is a hands-on role: you will drive strategy, execution, and performance accountability that turns marketing into a measurable growth function. You will own pipeline generation, growth marketing, and the digital experience — including direct project management of our creative agency relationship — ensuring the website, campaigns, and content assets work in lockstep to accelerate pipeline. This role sits at the intersection of data-driven growth, channel experimentation, and operational rigor. The right candidate is a builder energized by owning numbers, running experiments, and operating with speed — without sacrificing quality or strategic clarity.

Responsibilities

  • Revenue & Pipeline Generation
    • Own the marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline number — set targets, track weekly, report to leadership
    • Build and manage a multi-channel demand gen engine: paid, organic, email, ABM, events, and partner co-marketing
    • Drive MQL-to-opportunity conversion through tight SLA management with Sales and continuous funnel optimization
    • Develop and execute ABM programs targeting enterprise and mid-market physical security buyers
  • Growth Marketing & Digital Performance
    • Own the growth marketing roadmap: experimentation frameworks, lifecycle programs, and channel expansion
    • Drive website performance as a revenue asset — owning conversion strategy, landing page optimization, and lead capture architecture
    • Manage SEO/AEO strategy in collaboration with product marketing, content, and our creative agency (Ad Astra); own organic traffic and ranking goals
    • Set up and maintain full-funnel attribution in HubSpot; hold the team to data integrity standards
    • Identify and test new acquisition channels; scale what works, kill what doesn't — fast
  • Website Content & Agency Management
    • Serve as the primary project manager and day-to-day liaison for our creative agency, coordinating deliverables, timelines, and feedback loops
    • Own the website content roadmap — ensuring pages reflect current positioning, product messaging, and SEO priorities
    • Partner with Product Marketing on solution pages, use case content, and launch assets; partner with Ad Astra on creative consistency
    • Manage the CMS - establishing workflows and publishing cadence
    • Ensure the website development initiative stays on schedule, on brief, and properly resourced
  • Team Leadership & Operations
    • Eventually hire for Demand Generation - coaching, goal-setting, and day-to-day prioritization
    • Build the marketing operations infrastructure: tech stack governance, campaign taxonomy, UTM standards, and reporting dashboards
    • Manage the growth marketing budget with P&L-level accountability; optimize spend efficiency across channels
    • Contribute to the broader marketing leadership team, collaborating across Comms, Product Marketing, Partner Marketing, and Events

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years in demand gen, growth, or performance marketing
  • Proven results ownership — you've owned pipeline and conversion numbers
  • B2B enterprise SaaS or security/hardware-software experience
  • People management across demand gen
  • HubSpot power user — attribution fluency
  • Agency management — briefing, reviewing, and successful partnering
  • Website conversion strategy and lead capture architecture
  • Paid media strategy across search, social, and display
  • ABM program design and execution
  • Strong analytical instincts — you build your own dashboards
  • Project management rigor — comfortable running multi-stakeholder workstreams
  • Executive presence — can present pipeline reviews to CEO, Founder and SLT
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • A blend of a quant combined with go-to-market acumen

Nice to have

  • Experience in physical security, access control, or adjacent enterprise hardware/software markets
  • Familiarity with facial authentication, biometrics, or identity verification categories
  • Background in channel or partner marketing (dealer networks, VARs, integrators)
  • Experience building a marketing function at a Series B–D stage company
  • Working knowledge of SEO/AEO best practices for technical B2B categories
  • MBA or equivalent
