Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the executive owner of Triumph's primary fuel program relationships and strategic partnerships.
- Develop and execute partnership strategies that increase carrier adoption, gallons under management, revenue generation, and customer retention.
- Lead commercial negotiations, contract renewals, pricing discussions, and partnership expansion opportunities.
- Establish executive relationships with fuel providers, truck stop networks, card issuers, and industry partners.
- Monitor partner performance and implement programs that improve customer outcomes and partnership economics.
- Define and execute the fuel category strategy within the LoadPay marketplace.
- Evaluate, onboard, and manage third-party fuel solutions that enhance the carrier value proposition.
- Develop a framework for assessing fuel providers based on customer experience, economics, technology integration, strategic alignment, and long-term viability.
- Partner with Product, Technology, Marketing, and Sales teams to drive adoption of marketplace fuel offerings.
- Create scalable distribution strategies that position LoadPay as the preferred destination for carriers seeking fuel-related solutions.
- Develop the long-term vision for Triumph's fuel strategy.
- Identify emerging technology, market trends, and innovation opportunities across fuel payments, fleet management, alternative fuels, loyalty programs, rewards, and carrier spend management.
- Create and manage a roadmap for future fuel offerings that advance LoadPay's position as the financial base camp for carriers.
- Evaluate monetization of complimentary opportunities.
- Establish fuel program growth targets across adoption, gallons, revenue, customer retention, and profitability.
- Develop go-to-market strategies in partnership with Carrier Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams.
- Build operating plans, financial forecasts, and key performance indicators.
- Present strategic recommendations and performance updates to Executive Leadership, operating committees, and the Board.
- Partner closely with Product, Sales, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Banking, Factoring, and Carrier business leaders.
- Ensure fuel initiatives are integrated into broader Triumph and LoadPay strategies.
- Build and lead a high-performing team focused on fuel strategy, partnerships, and innovation.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of leadership experience within fuel programs, payments, fintech, transportation, fleet services, commercial banking, or related industries.
- Demonstrated success managing strategic partnerships and complex commercial relationships.
- Experience with fuel card programs, fleet payment solutions, trucking marketplaces, or transportation technology platforms.
- Experience developing and executing product, partnership, or channel distribution strategies.
- Proven ability to lead enterprise-wide strategic initiatives and influence executive stakeholders.
- Experience working with both open-loop and closed-loop payment networks.
- Strong financial acumen with experience building business cases and evaluating investment opportunities.
- Preferred: Experience with partnership negotiations, program economics, and revenue-sharing models.
- Strong understanding of the trucking and transportation ecosystem.
- Background in fintech, embedded finance, payments, or transportation services.
- MBA or advanced business degree.
