Head of FP&A

About the role

Rapidly growing PE Backed Insurance Company is seeking a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis to join their finance team. Reporting directly to the CFO and CEO, this executive will lead financial planning and analysis efforts, focusing on both strategic and tactical directions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive annual budget and rolling forecasts process, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
• Design and develop standard reports to provide insights into current and projected financial performance, identifying key trends and correlations.
• Work with the senior leadership team to drive operational excellence and align with the company's strategic objectives.
• Engage in talent management to create a competitive advantage and manage a matrix culture effectively.
• Identify and implement improvements in business processes, methods, and technologies to enhance overall performance capabilities.
• Collaborate with capital management, enterprise risk management, and Argo executive management to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on property/casualty.
• Proven track record in leading the strategic design of financial information for a global property and casualty insurance organization.
• Strong finance, accounting, and analytical skills, with a preference for Oracle ERP experience.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly at the senior leadership and executive-Board levels.
• Experience in managing large projects, including capital investments, mergers and acquisitions, and business transfers and divestitures.
• Ability to manage a matrix culture and utilize shared service resources effectively.
