About the role
Tradeweb is seeking a senior, strategic, and execution-oriented Head of Data Governance to build, enhance, and oversee our Data Governance framework. This individual will establish a Data Governance function and partner with senior stakeholders across functions to drive oversight of:
- Data Ownership
- Data Quality
- Data Lineage
- Data Security
- Data Privacy
Responsibilities
- Establish Data Governance frameworks, including roles, responsibilities, policies, standards, and oversight forums.
- Define data ownership models across business domains; ensure key data roles are identified and individuals are trained on expected roles and responsibilities (e.g., Data Owners, Data Stewards).
- Establish enterprise data quality standards, metrics, and monitoring capabilities; ensure consistent adoption across the Firm.
- Define and enforce data standards for AI use cases, ensuring consistency, quality, lineage, and appropriate controls across AI applications.
- Embed a Data Risk & Control framework in partnership with Operational/Data Risk functions to identify, assess, and mitigate data-related risks, including formal review and approval of risk acceptances.
- Provide governance and oversight of data supporting regulatory reporting, ensuring data lineage, traceability, accuracy, and completeness in line with regulatory expectations.
- Define and track governance KPIs/KRIs, with regular reporting and escalation to senior stakeholders.
- Evaluate, select, and provide oversight of data governance tooling and platforms (e.g., catalog, lineage, quality), ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 12+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or data risk within financial services or trading platforms.
- Strong background in capital markets, electronic trading, or fintech environments.
- Deep understanding of data governance frameworks, operating models, regulatory requirements, and tools (e.g., Collibra).
- Demonstrated success building or transforming enterprise data governance programs.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills; ability to influence senior leaders and obtain buy-in.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in complex organizations and drive pragmatic solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership in executing and scaling governance frameworks, with strong communication and team management capabilities.

Pay
The current pay range for this role if performed in the city of New York is $175,000 to $240,000 per year, based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by qualifications, market data, geographic location, and internal guidelines.
