About the role

We are seeking a Head of Data to lead our data strategy and team as we scale from $350M to $1B in annual revenue. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on data experience and 3+ years of leadership experience, with a deep understanding of data architecture, engineering, modelling, and metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Own the data stack end-to-end, including pipelines, dbt layer, and self-serve reporting (Hex).
  • Define the evolution of our data platform as the company grows.
  • Establish clear standards for staging, intermediate, and marts models.
  • Owning the definitions behind key metrics across various departments.
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Partner closely with Engineering to ensure data flows smoothly into analytical systems.
  • Build and lead a data team, including hiring additional Data Engineers.
  • Design and implement data systems supporting multiple markets and products.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with data-backed evidence.

Requirements

  • Experience as a hands-on data professional with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Leadership experience with 3+ years of direct management experience.
  • Deep knowledge of SQL and dbt.
  • Experience in designing and operating modern data platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data engineering principles and practices.
  • Expertise in data modelling and metrics.
  • Experience with Redshift and Hex.
  • Experience with consumer or subscription businesses, particularly in terms of acquisition, activation, retention, churn, revenue, cohorts, and unit economics.
  • Experience with multi-market data systems and regulatory evidence.
