About The Role
The US loan book is growing rapidly, and the collections and recoveries operation needs to scale accordingly. This role involves challenging existing processes, rebuilding what's necessary, and designing a collections strategy that can handle growth. You will be responsible for the entire delinquency lifecycle, from early arrears to recovery, and will also lead the analytics function for collections. Over time, this role could expand to cover US credit cards as well.
Who We're Looking For
- Real hands-on experience in US consumer collections at a fast-moving fintech, owning a delinquency book and understanding what good looks like
- Strong analytical skills, comfortable pulling your own data and building models
- Experience managing and evaluating third-party collections vendors
- Track record of redesigning processes from the ground up
- Comfortable with ambiguity and strong communication skills to influence across various departments
- Passion for AI and incorporating these technologies to better serve customers
Requirements
- 4-8 years in US consumer collections or recoveries, preferably at a fintech
- Familiarity with the US regulatory landscape for consumer collections (FDCPA, state-level rules)
- Experience managing and evaluating third-party collections vendors
- Track record of redesigning processes from the ground up
- Comfortable with ambiguity and strong communication skills
- Passionate about AI and its applications in collections
