About the role
The Head Nurse (RN) position at New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) in Brooklyn, NY involves managing all aspects of nursing responsibilities during each shift. This includes assigning patient assignments, medication orders, training of new hires, and managing a safe environment for staff and patients.

Requirements
- Valid New York State RN License
- Minimum of two years in a managerial role
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with an EMR (preferred)
- Knowledge of standard precautions and ability to utilize appropriate PPE
- Ability to administer cytotoxic agents and handle bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids
- Reliable transportation to travel to NYCBS locations for patient care needs
