About the role

The Head Nurse (RN) position at New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) in Brooklyn, NY involves managing all aspects of nursing responsibilities during each shift. This includes assigning patient assignments, medication orders, training of new hires, and managing a safe environment for staff and patients.

• Ensuring patient satisfaction in every interaction

Requirements

• Valid New York State RN License
• Minimum of two years in a managerial role
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with an EMR (preferred)
• Knowledge of standard precautions and ability to utilize appropriate PPE
• Ability to administer cytotoxic agents and handle bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids
• Reliable transportation to travel to NYCBS locations for patient care needs
