Primary Tasks & Major Activities
- Work with the Youth Sports Director, Head Varsity football coach and other Nixa Youth Football head and assistant coaches, serving grades 3-6.
- Work with the High School Varsity football coaches to blend fundamental teaching ideas.
- Organize practice plans, lead practices, stress safety and proper techniques in teaching fundamentals.
- Supervise in all practices and game supervision before, during and after practices and games.
- Work with Activities Director and develop weekly practice schedules and game planning.
Education/Skills/Experience Required
- Prior youth football coaching experience is preferred.
- Possess a good knowledge of the game of football.
- Possess strong relationship-building skills.
- Able to be organized and calm under pressure.
- Good sportsmanship is required.
- Willingness to understand and support the District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan.
Other Requirements
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug test that are satisfactory to the Board of Education.
