Head Maintenance

Annual stipend position for the 2026-2027 school year under the LBSEA Contract 2026-2029 (see salary guides for yearly stipends, pp. 79-80).

Qualifications

• General maintenance or handyman experience (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.)
• Willingness to work flexible hours based on need
• Strong communication skills and ability to take direction
• Dependable and proactive, with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable giving Maintenance staff direction

Responsibilities

• Ensure all maintenance is performed in a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner
• Assist in performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of the building and grounds
• Help work with the staff to maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems under the direction of the Buildings and Grounds Manager
• Assist in monitoring facility conditions and identifying issues before they become major problems
• Work with vendors and contractors as directed
• Help ensure tools, supplies, and maintenance equipment are kept organized and in good working order
• Respond to minor emergency repairs or maintenance requests in a timely manner

Pay

$7,500 annual stipend.
