About the role
Cheverus High School seeks a dedicated Head Coach for Girls Varsity Lacrosse to lead the coaching staff for the 2026-27 spring season.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for the team
- Manage team logistics including scheduling practices, games, and travel
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure a cohesive athletic program
- Provide leadership and mentorship to student-athletes
- Ensure compliance with all state and national regulations
Requirements
- Prior successful lacrosse coaching and/or playing experience
- A current State of Maine Department of Education Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) and fingerprinting
- Completion of NFHS required online trainings: Concussion Management, Heat Acclimatization, Sudden Cardiac Arrest and Suicide Prevention Training, and CPR/First Aid
Qualifications
- Strong passion and proficiency in lacrosse coaching and/or playing
- Commitment to promoting and living Cheverus High School's Jesuit, Catholic tradition
- Ability to collaborate professionally and continue personal growth
