Head JV Boys Ultimate Frisbee Coach

About the Role

Lakeside School, an independent 5-12 coeducational day school located in North Seattle, is seeking a Junior Varsity Boys Ultimate Head Coach. The season runs from the end of August to mid-November, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Compliance with all Lakeside School and Disc NW policies and procedures.
• Commitment to supporting a diverse student body with varying lived experiences and athletic preparation through inclusive messaging, actions, and opportunities.
• Supervision and instruction of student-athletes during team activities.
• Maintenance and inventory of team equipment and apparel.
• Attendance at required program and interscholastic athletics meetings.
• Support of multi-sport participation for student-athletes.
• Promotion of balanced achievement in all areas of school life for student-athletes.
• Additional program-wide duties as assigned by the director of athletics.

Requirements and Qualifications

• At least 25 years of age with a clean driving record.
• Availability for all practices and competitions from 3pm daily during the season, including weekends as required.
• Experience coaching Ultimate at the club, youth, high school, or college level.
• Demonstrated cultural awareness, including understanding of personal cultural lenses and respectful interaction with diverse perspectives.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to the start of the season).
• Satisfactory completion of two criminal background checks.

Pay

Stipend range: $4,000–$4,500, paid in monthly installments during the primary competition season.
