About the role
The Orting School District is seeking applicants for the position of Head Girl's Golf Coach at Orting High School.
Responsibilities
- Support running a solid high school golf program
- Communicate positively and effectively with students, parents, staff, and community members
- Motivate teenage athletes to reach their highest potential academically through sportsmanship
- Meet all W.I.A.A. requirements for the Washington State Coaching Standards
- Complete required Vector Solutions (SafeSchools) trainings within thirty (30) days of hire
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- At least 21 years of age
- Current first aid and CPR training (or ability to obtain prior to the start of the season from an approved OSD provider)
- Flexible schedule with availability immediately after school (2:15 PM M-Th, 12:45 PM F)
- Experience preferred in coaching or participating in golf
- Knowledge of golf techniques and strategies
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Successful experience working with teenage athletes
Schedule
- Work Year: 2026-27 High School Fall Season
- Season Dates: 08/24/2026 - 10/20/2026
- Work Start: High school dismissal (2:15 PM M-Th, 12:45 PM F)
Pay
Salary based on the 2025-26 OXA Extra Curricular Salary Schedule Appendix A, paid at 2026-27 rates.

Eligibility for benefits is determined by hours worked during the last two school years (September 1 through August 31). Coaching positions may not be benefit eligible. Regular employees in coaching positions anticipated to work 630 hours or more in a year are eligible for:
