Head Dance Coach

About the Role

Carroll College is seeking a Head Dance Coach to develop and oversee a new competitive dance program. This position involves managing all aspects of the program's day-to-day operations and aligning its growth with the mission of Carroll College.

Responsibilities

• Schedule dance competitions and coordinate performance-based events
• Recruit and retain quality student-athletes
• Manage the program’s operating budget and fiscal responsibilities
• Develop dance skills and techniques for student-athletes
• Lead donor fundraising efforts and cultivate alumni and community relations
• Ensure compliance with all national association, conference, and institutional rules and regulations
• Build positive relationships with faculty, staff, students, media, alumni, and donors
• Collaborate with department personnel and the broader college community
• Perform additional duties within the Department of Athletics as needed

Requirements

• Dance instruction experience
• Preferred: Experience directing a dance program in a collegiate or secondary educational setting
• Demonstrated leadership and strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to support and align with the mission of Carroll College
• Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship
