Head Coach - Men's Basketball

About the role

The Head Men’s basketball coach reports directly to the Athletics Director and is responsible for the overall management, leadership and function of the men’s basketball team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement game strategies and tactics
• Manage team training sessions and practices
• Manage team travel and competition schedules
• Work closely with the Athletic Training staff to ensure player health and safety
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to maintain team morale and unity
• Manage team budget and expenses

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in sports science, physical education, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of coaching experience at the college level
• Proven success in recruiting and developing student-athletes
• Experience with NCAA Division I rules and regulations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
