Head Boys Lacrosse Coach - Sr. High

About the role

The Head Boys Lacrosse Coach will provide leadership and expertise regarding the rules, strategies, and techniques for the assigned activity, utilizing knowledge of the specific equipment, physical fitness and safety to prepare participants mentally and physically to compete at the highest level.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and facilitates successful practices.
• Leads students and team members during matches.
• Provides leadership and guidance to staff.
• Encourages student participation and establishes rapport.
• Motivates participants/athletes to achieve maximum potential.
• Maintains equipment and uniforms.
• Supervises all areas of participation including but not limited to: gyms, fields, arenas, locker or dressing rooms, buses, etc.
• Works collaboratively with staff, Activities Director, families and community resources.
• Maintains compliance with all rules and regulations.
• Complies with and supports all school district regulations and policies.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school degree, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively with parents, students, and other staff.
• Previous experience as a Head Coach preferred.
• Willingness to accept and follow direction.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• General office skills.
• Able to maintain confidentiality.
