Head Baker

About the role

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is currently looking for a talented full-time Head Baker.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate superhero abilities in the kitchen from following recipes to paying close attention to additional details to create one-of-a-kind breads.
• Lift large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies weighing up to 50 lbs. daily.
• Work through change and be flexible while keeping a close eye on what’s cooking.
• Work afternoons and evenings, with a shift on Sundays when the store is closed. Overnight shifts may be required during holiday seasons.

Requirements

• Proven track record of large-scale baking/pastry experience (preferred but not required).
• Attentiveness to compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for food handler and sanitation standards.
• Leadership experience in either restaurants or retail.

Qualifications

• Formal culinary education is a bonus.

• Salary commensurate with experience.

Schedule

• Bread Baking shifts are usually from 11am - 7pm with a shift on Sunday (when the store is closed).
