HDMS HOURLY MEASURE TECHNICIAN - Norfolk, VA

This position is a traveling field role in support of The Home Depot's Field Services Organization. The Measure Technician provides quality professional customer service, performs in-home measure appointments, and supports sales, product inquiries, measurements, and installation coordination within a predefined geographical area.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily routes for pre-assigned measure appointments efficiently and accurately (60% of role).
• Collaborate with associates, supervisors, and managers to complete work activities (4% of role).
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and adhere to work schedule (1% of role).
• Provide exceptional customer service by asking open-ended questions, listening to customer needs, and demonstrating product and services knowledge (35% of role).
• Identify opportunities to engage customers in additional services programs.
• Conduct in-home measurements, calculations, quote reviews, and presentations.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation required.
• 1+ years of previous related work experience.
• Ability to continuously stand, walk, or regularly lift/carry material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
• High school diploma or GED.

This position reports directly to the Assistant Market Manager and requires travel between locations. Work is primarily conducted in customers' homes, with occasional mild discomfort.
