About the role
The Human Capital Management (HCM) Training Specialist supports Georgia agencies in implementing talent solutions, focusing on talent acquisition and performance management.
Responsibilities
- Deliver training and content related to the State's newest human resources information system, Workday branded as GA@WORK.
- Provide training and resources to agency recruiters on talent pool optimization, internship programs, interviewing, and hiring best practices, and using Workday to streamline the recruiting process.
- Research GA@WORK training best practices to support continuous program improvement.
- Analyze relevant GA@WORK-related data and generate graphic and narrative reports and presentations.
- Maintain and update training course materials, exercises, hand-outs, and exams to reflect best practices; incorporate changes in policies, processes, forms, or systems; and in response to student feedback.
- Conduct instructor-led training virtually and in-person training to deliver HRA-approved training courses to state entity staff.
- Utilize systems training environments or other related tools to lead student activities.
- Assist with maintaining HRA's Learning Management System (LMS), including responding to requests for enrollment in learning paths, courses, or exams and other administrative activities.
- Respond to requests from a variety of stakeholders.
Requirements
Local candidates only: DOAS operates in a hybrid work environment and encourages telework with some days in the office required. The schedule will be determined at a later date.
Minimum Entry Qualifications:
- A high school diploma/GED and three (3) years of job-related experience in human resources;
- One (1) year of experience required at the lower-level HR Spec 2 (HRP021) or position equivalent.
Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year. Ensure proper screening is performed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Workday Core HCM, Compensation, Talent Optimization (Management), or other Workday modules within an HR department as an administrator or trainer.
- HRIS systems training experience.
