About the role
The Maryland Department of Housing & Community Development (DHCD) seeks a Financial Analyst to manage accounting and financial analysis of multi-million dollar financing operations, servicing federal awards and state assets.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the accounting and financial analysis of a multi-million-dollar financing operations
- Servicing federal awards and state assets
- Aid in managing financial asset and debt portfolios
- Analyze, interpret and examine accounting, budget, grant or real estate investment portfolio records and reports
- Apply generally accepted accounting principles
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or a related field from an accredited college or university
- Experience: Four years of professional financial analysis experience, such as managing financial asset and debt portfolios, examining, analyzing, and interpreting accounting, budget, grant or real estate investment portfolio records and reports by applying generally accepted accounting principles
Qualifications
- Desired or Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing federally funded reimbursable awards, experience managing reimbursable awards from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)

Benefits
Salary range of $44.00 - $47.50/hour, with potential for advancement up to $68.52 based on qualifications, equity, and hiring guidelines. Initial salary offers are determined by qualifications, experience, and available budget, and typically do not exceed $47.50/year.
