Day in the Life of Our Caregivers

Companion Caregivers:

• Do a safety check
• Help prepare meals
• Pick out clothes for the day
• Play games
• Run errands
• Clean up
• Genuinely try to make someone smile

Personal Caregivers:

• Bathe seniors
• Get seniors dressed
• Brush seniors' teeth
• Help with medication reminders
• Provide general mobility assistance around the house

Requirements

Must have a car for transportation.

Ideal Candidate

• Strong communication skills
• A heart to help seniors
• Comfortable providing non-medical companion and personal care
• Experience caring for a family member or being a full-time parent/homemaker
• Experience in Assisted Living Facilities, Skilled Nursing, Senior Homes, or Senior Centers as a caretaker
• Experience in schools or preschools as a teacher or child care worker
• Retired individuals wanting to give back
• Experience at YMCA or volunteering at church
• Certified Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid, or Personal Care Aid
