About the role

This Database Architect position will function as database developer/architect supporting multiple software applications for the DOH Office of Professional Medical Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Analysis and design of database objects and data collection systems, including the transformation of legislative requirements into system functionality
• Data modelling
• Software development tasks including Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL Server coding, testing, and implementation
• Troubleshooting issues in the application to find solutions
• Preparation of technical and user documentation

Qualifications

The Database Architect determines database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and programming; reviews objectives with clients; evaluates current systems; provides database support by coding utilities, responding to user questions, and resolving problems.

• 84+ months of experience in interpreting physical database models and experience with relational database concepts such as indexes, primary and foreign keys, and constraints using both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server
• 84 months of experience developing using Oracle PL/SQL, including database packages, procedures, functions and triggers
• 84 months of experience in working with Oracle version 11g or later
• 84 months of experience in using Oracle programming tools (SQL*Plus, SQL*Loader or other Oracle database programming tools)
• 60 months of experience developing using Microsoft Transact-SQL (T-SQL)
• 60 months of experience in designing relational databases
• 24 months of experience in integrating multiple database schemas
• 18 months of experience in using Git
