About the role
This role involves the design, implementation, maintenance, and security of the organization’s databases to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and data integrity. The candidate will collaborate with developers, analysts, and IT teams to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Participate in meetings to understand data needs and communicate updates on data status.
- Maintain detailed logs of data management activities and issues.
- Stay updated on company data policies, compliance requirements, and best practices.
- Learn new data management tools and technologies as required.
- Complete all assigned tasks.
- Absorb and document data sources, definitions, and lineage (data dictionaries, metadata).
- Execute complex queries (using SQL or similar) to extract data for reports or analysis as requested.
- Ensure that project goals/objectives are met.
Qualifications
- Database Architect:
- Determines database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and programming;
- Reviews objectives with clients;
- Evaluates current systems;
- Provides database support by coding utilities, responding to user questions, and resolving problems.
- Expert:
- 84+ months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
- Requested Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree
- 84 months experience in designing logical and physical database models.
- 84 months experience designing Oracle databases including triggers and packages.
- 84 months experience in performing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) techniques and flagging any failures.
- 60 months experience with SSIS design and development.
- 60 months experience using SQL Reporting Services (SSRS).
- 60 months experience in SQL programming including writing complex queries utilizing JSON in Oracle.
- 36 months experience with participating in meetings to understand data needs and communicate updates on data status. Maintaining detailed logs of data management activities and issues.
