About the Role
This position is for a .Net Developer who will design and code new applications, using provided Business rules, for the DOCCS agency. The developer will support existing DOCCS systems while collaborating with several infrastructure groups within the organization and create system documentation for the various systems they interact with.
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight on the analysis and design for enterprise applications using .NET and ASP.NET MVC.
- Guide the development of applications throughout the SDLC, including the redesign of legacy applications written in older technologies such as ColdFusion, VB, and Access.
- Implement standards related to application technologies, including UI standards, development methodology, and coding and style guides.
- Develop and guide quality assurance processes including code reviews, performance testing, security scans, and adherence to industry, state, and federal standards.
- Identify and escalate technical risks and issues appropriately.
- Guide and engage in development activities which may include data analysis, data structures, data manipulation, and preparing logical database models.
- Prepare and/or review technical documentation such as system architecture designs, schemas, and solution proposals.
Qualifications
- Mandatory: 84+ months of experience as a Software Architect, making high-level design choices and dictating technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Candidate must be able to design multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of large-scale software systems and provide guidance to large teams.
- 84 months of experience developing highly available and scalable multitier applications (e.g., 3-tier applications with a front-end UI, Web service, and backend database) using Object-Oriented or Service-Oriented Architecture involving data structures, algorithms, software design, and Design Patterns.
- 84 months of experience developing applications using C# with the .NET framework (3.0 and higher) and/or the .NET Core framework.
- 60 months of experience creating and supporting ASP.NET MVC or ASP.NET Core MVC Web applications.
- 84 months of experience converting legacy applications from MS Access, Visual Basic, and Windows forms technologies to modern .NET Framework and .NET Core MVC applications.
- 72 months of experience writing and consuming RESTful and non-RESTful Web services using ASMX, WCF, and WebAPI technologies.
- 36 months of experience with front-end technologies including React, Angular, and Bootstrap.
- 84 months of experience writing SQL, including Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, and complex queries (e.g., queries with nested select statements and UNION statements) in Oracle or SQL Server.
- 48 months of experience setting up, managing, and deploying .NET applications to IIS.
- 48 months of experience developing, implementing, and integrating systems related to criminal justice, critical infrastructure, public safety, or emergency response systems.
