Day-to-day Tasks

• Work with NY State agencies to develop and implement new grant opportunities in the State’s Grants Management systems
• Create and update documentation and develop training courses for State Agency users and vendors.
• Document, maintain, and validate business process rules to improve efficiency and cross-training, allowing for uniformity across State Agencies.
• Test and implement new features and builds of web based statewide grant application and contract development system.
• Report bugs and defects in an easy-to-understand manner and test proposed fixes of these defects.
• Develop and edit functional specifications for new features and improvements.

Mandatory Qualifications

• IT Specialist – Works in the field of Information Technology, experienced in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures or business applications and products that run on those platforms - beyond that of a Programmer.
• Expert: 84+ Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

Requested Qualifications

• 84 months experience in performing requirements gathering and business analysis, producing written documentation of requirements; system design and implementation.
• 60 months experience testing builds of a statewide enterprise IT project, including defect reporting.
• 48 months experience as a government employee or public/private consultant with detailed involvement in the area of government grantmaking.
• 24 months experience configuring and deploying an industry standard COTS grantmaking solution.
• 12 months experience working with an enterprise statewide financial system.
