About the role

The Hazmat Material Specialist (internally known as OEM Material Master) will be responsible for ensuring all Hazmat receiving, picking, and put-away processes are completed daily. They will also assist the Hazmat team with outgoing hazardous material orders.

Responsibilities

  • Meticulously receive Hazmat products into the WMS system and ensure they are not damaged or leaking.
  • Put-away and allocate Hazmat products using a RF scan gun and deliver them to the correct storage locations.
  • Pick Hazmat-related orders with a RF scan gun and deliver them to the correct shipping locations in a timely manner.
  • Operate a forklift to maneuver skids, load trucks, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for each hazardous item and follow all directions from the CFR 49 Regulation manual to clean up spills.

Requirements

  • Passionate about time management and organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Able to move around for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Vehicle certified or willing to be trained.
  • Willing to work Monday through Friday from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM, and occasionally on Saturdays.
  • Fantastic communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willing and able to complete hazardous material training and certification through UPS for handling and shipping.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $43,993.80 – $53,720.20 annually ($21.15 – $25.82 hourly).

Schedule

Monday through Friday from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM, with occasional Saturday work.
